Any opinions on Florida - DMV in Orlando, FL?what is the license process from Mass. to Orlando,Fl.?

license tranfer and plates|||Depending on where you go and when the wait can be extremely long. However, if you call ahead you can schedule an appointment to speed things up fro you. I also would recommend going to an office in a smaller town or quieter area. It's a state issued license so it doesn't matter what county you go to get it done, so no need to go to the busiest office just because it's close to where you live.|||For your vehicle registration, you will need the title, proof of insurance, and the required fees. To find out about your license, check out this page: http://www.dmv.org/fl-florida/apply-lice鈥?/a> You will probably need the section called "New Resident Who Already Has a License."|||I am licensed to sell insurance in florida and live there too....

First you need FLORIDA insurance...you cannot register a car with your Mass insurance. The tag agency will not accept that...so go somewhere and get insurance...

be prepared the rates are much higher in florida than in mass. since we have so many tourist, unisured drivers and insurance fraud...welcome to florida....

Once you get insurance, (and you do not need a florida lic to do this by the way) you can now get florida plates...you must take your title and/or old mass registration and your new florida proof of coverage with you....normally the insurance company will require you to get your florida tags within 14-30 days of the day your insurance start date...otherwise they will cancel your policy.

Then you can get you license...actually you can get your lic any time as long as you have a florida residence...you can do that when ever but I suggest making an appointment or you will be there all day....

Geico is a great place to get insurance from and they never close...that is who I am insured with ..give em a call they can do it all over the phone! 1-800-841-3000 :)

Good Luck
