Do you have to give up your New York Drivers license at the DMV when you receive a Florida license?

Yes, you must surrender your out-of-state license to get the FL one. My Floridian cousins told me this.|||The Florida DMV web site doesn't really say this, but generally you can't have licenses in two states. Florida has some funny rules on this due to the number of "snowbirds", but that's pretty universal.
