I have florida tickets gone to collections, i will pay them with credit card . Can i still get my license if i do not show up at a florida DMV .Dont the collection agency notify them and it clears . Then shoot down here in alabama dmv and get it . Or do i need to show up in person in florida and reinstate my license there and bring it back here?|||First of all, it's not JUST a matter of paying the overdue debt. You will also have to contact the Florida DMV and formally request reinstatement. You will probably have to go there in person.
Just for the record, if you are LIVING in Alabama, you need to get an Alabama license, although that still requires that you first reinstate the FL license.|||jenny
Iy will clear.... but shoot right down, probably not. When yo call in to pay the tickets, it is a very valid question to determine how long it will take for the Florida Tickets / collections to clear so that you can get a new license in Al.
Soccerref|||If you have your actual license and pay the tickets you won't need to do any thing. After its cleared you can use the same one. If you need a new copy you will need to come to FL or get an Alabama license.
